    All the children will have mass together at 8am at PCC Hall except on 5th Sundays and on Holidays.

1. The Church is open for Personal Prayer. Kindly follow the guidelines
which are displayed on the notice Board and on the Banner and cooperate
with the security Personnel.  


2. Online Catechism Classes will be held during this Pandemic for the children.
The details are as follows
:

We will be using Microsoft Teams for conducting the online sessions.


1  Online Catechism Classes for Std. 6 to 10 from 5 th July
     onwards.
2    Registration forms are available in the Church office, kindly
    complete the registration formalities at the Church office
    during office hours by paying a fee of Rs. 300 and also collect
    the textbook during the registration.
3   Please ensure that you share your email-id and the Mobile
    number in the form.
4   Classes will be held on Sundays from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm
    (this timing is to accommodate the various mass timings)
5   Online meeting invite will be sent to the Parents’ email-
    id. Recording of the class will be available for those who
    missed, soon after the class.
6   The teachers will create class-wise Whatsapp group to
    ensure timely communication with the parents and the
    students.
7   We solicit your valuable support and co-operation to
     make this initiative a success.


3. The Online Confirmation Classes during this Pandemic, details are as
follows :


   Sunday July 5 th 2020 there will be a 'Parents Initiation' program
   starting 9 am. The children enrolling to receive the Sacrament

    must accompany the Parents for the initiation program. The
    session, this year, will be ONLINE. We'll be soon sending the
   'Microsoft Teams' link to all the SCC Zonal representatives;
   requesting you to get in touch with them.
   The admission forms are available in the Parish office, please
   collect the same, complete the form with complete details, attach
   all the required documents mentioned and submit the forms back
   to the Parish office with a fee of Rs. 600/- only latest by July 3 rd
   2020.
   The classes, this year, will be ONLINE and the details of the
    schedule would be provided in the Initiation program.

4. We invite Parishioners who wish to pay their church subscriptions / offer
Mass intentions / make donations, to visit the Parish office during the office
hours.


5. We request the church cleaning groups and other volunteers to clean the
church on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10 am. Kindly follow the
safety measures.


6. We have started the renovation work of the Basement Hall. It involves
extension work of the Stage & False Ceiling, Acoustic work, Sound and Light.
All these works involve huge expenses. I look forward for your generous

7. Conceding the desire of Mr. Rathinam to relieve him from this service as
Sacristan; We wish God’s Choicest Blessings upon him and thank him for his
dedicated service in our Parish during the past years..


8. On Wednesday (24 th June) we celebrate the solemnity of the Nativity of St.
John the Baptist.

Guidelines to be followed while in the Church Premises:
1.  The church will be open for private prayers between 7AM to 12PM and 4PM
to 7PM.
2.  Persons above 65 years of age, persons with ailments, pregnant women and
children below 10 years are advised to stay at home.
3.   Please cooperate with the security personnel and with the volunteers.
4. It is mandatory for all those who visit the church and Parish office to wear a
face mask.
5.  Hands must be sanitized by using the contactless sanitizer dispensers before
entering the Church. It is also advisable to bring your own hand sanitizer.
6.  Make sure that social distancing rules are followed by adhering to the
markings on the pews inside the church and on the benches in the church
premises.
7.  Do not touch statues, railings inside and outside the church.
8.  Respiratory etiquettes to be strictly followed. This involves strict practice of
covering one’s mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing with a
tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow and disposing off used tissues properly.
9.  All Adorations, Novenas and public SCC meetings continue to be suspended
until further notice.
10.   For funerals kindly follow the set rules already given by the government
and Archbishop, with a maximum of 20 people to be present. For burials at
Kalpally cemetery, it is advised that the Funeral Mass be held at the Kalpally
cemetery chapel itself.

11.   For Marriage celebrations as well, kindly follow the prescribed rules set by
the government and the Archbishop, with a maximum of 50 people to be
present. Please note that the sanitization and safety measures rest with the
respective marriage party.
12.   Communion to the sick and those who are prepared spiritually may
approach the parish clergy and the same will be made available, with prior
appointments.
13.   Please follow the above guidelines for the health and safety of yourself,
your family and for the good of others. Also, please minimize your outdoor
movements including avoiding unnecessary travel.

Announcements:

1. Though the guidelines from the Archbishop of Bangalore permitted churches to 
commence public liturgical services from 13th June 2020, we have decided not to 
resume celebration of Masses in churches due to the rise in positive cases in the 
city. However, our church is kept open for private prayers only. This common 
decision was made in consultation with the priests of the Deanery, Parish Pastoral 
Council and the Zonal animation team. While we continue to review the situation 
and decide the further course of action, this will be in effect up to 30th June 2020.

2. We hereby inform you on the Transfers/Appointment pertaining to our Parish 
clergy:

a) Fr. Sahaya Edison who has served our Parish as an Assistant Parish Priest for a 
year, is now transferred to Melathirupanthuruthi (TN) as an Assistant Parish 
Priest.

b) Fr. Maria Coin who served as Teacher in St. Vincent Pallotti School and pastoral 
services in our Parish over the last 3 years, is now transferred as a Vice Principal 
of St. Vincent Pallotti School, Salem.
We thank them for their dedicated services and we wish them all the best 
in their new assignments. They will be leaving us shortly.

c) Fr. Arogya Dass is appointed as Assistant Parish Priest. We welcome him and 
wish him a fruitful ministry in our Parish.

3. Due to the current pandemic, the Catechism teachers have planned to start online 
Catechism classes and details for the same will be shared in due course. Those 
who have earlier applied for their First Holy Communion may submit their duly 
filled-in Forms and collect the Catechism book from the Parish office, no later than 
30th June 2020.

 

4. We invite Parishioners who wish to pay their church subscriptions / offer Mass 
intentions / make donations, to visit the Parish office during the office hours.


5. On Saturday (13th June) we celebrate the feast of St. Anthony. We wish you all and 
members of St. Anthony Zone, A Happy Feast of St. Anthony.


6. On Sunday (14th June) we celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi. (The most Holy 
Body and Blood of Christ). 


7. To cater to the future needs of the parish, especially for pastoral gatherings, we
have started renovating the Basement Hall. It includes work pertaining to
